The project supervisor design process (PSDP) must be an individual or body corporate i.e., a limited company. This company must have the necessary competence to carry out this role and must be appointed before design work commences. PSDP is appointed by the Client.

Who should do this course?

Any persons who work in the following occupations: archtiects, chartered surveyors, consulting engineers or project managers.

What will you learn on this course?

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Describe general hazards arising from the design or from the technical, organisational, planning or time related aspects of the project with a view to eliminating the hazards or reducing the risks.
  • Describe the contents of a Preliminary Safety & Health Plan which must be prepared in writing thereby providing information for the PSCS at tender stage.
  • List the contents of a Safety File.

How does it work?

On the completion of each module, you will need to take part in an assessment process which consists of 20 multiple choice questions with a pass mark of 80%.
